List, 1885-1889, of prisoner discharges from the penitentiary arranged by prisoner number. The first several pages are pasted with newspaper clippings, 1890, forming a scrapbook of articles relating to the campaign for Congress of Richard Vaux, a Democratic nominee for the 3rd District, who also served as prison inspector for over 53 years and as president of it's board for over 43 years .
